Hollowing out the ivory tower

I so nearly missed this because of my habit of emailing Arts & Letters Daily into my draft blogs folder and picking up the contents at some later date for using in the irregular "this ain't work" blog posts or ditching the item.

The Spiked Review of Books (Issue no 45 (June 2011)) has an article by Tim Black who is discussing her book Does Education Matter?: Myths About Education and Economic Growth with Alison Wolf.

Anybody and everybody involved with education should, at the very least, read this article. We don’t all have time to read the book itself, unfortunately.
